Verna Dunshee Trail is at the top of Mt. Tam and provides spectacular views of San Francisco bay from Sunrise Point overlook.  There are also wonderful hiking opportunities, most of the trails are paved and they range in skill level, from casual walk to advanced hike.  Day use of the park is $6 and there are many great eateries and lodging accomodations nearby.
